British Council and Harrods straddle time

Don’t be surprised if you spy the odd foreign tourist looking more bewildered than usual, next time you are in Harrods. They may well be confused by the Knightsbridge store’s recent posters celebrating its 150 years in business.

The images bare an uncanny resemblance to the British Council’s Britain posters, created by Johnson Banks to highlight the nation’s cultural and modern heritage.

Which just goes to show, while there is only one Harrods, there is also only one poster idea, or so it seems.
