Heal poised for Kew museum

Subject to a successful appeal for Lottery cash, Ivor Heal Design is to design a new museum for the Public Record Office at Kew in south west London, following a credentials pitch. A decision on the funding is expected later this month.

The consultancy will be responsible for design of the museum’s identity and graphics, as well as a permanent exhibition space which will include a changing display facility for shorter exhibitions.

The Public Record Office completed its move to the newly built headquarters at Kew at the beginning of the year, from its previous home at London’s Chancery Lane.
