Small design groups can work to help themselves

I write in response to your recent News in Depth article which suggests that Government support is not particularly set up for small creative businesses.

Design Leicestershire is a good example of small – and large – privately run design consultancies collaboratively working with the regional development agency to mould and shape its support. The net result is an initiative that is relevant to the design industry, achievable and funded – and which places control with the consultancies themselves.

So, if you find Government support is not fit for purpose, fix it. It might not be a quick and easy task, but it can work.
