London design group Hero has created a new identity and support literature for the Racehorse Owners Association.

Tom Tom, the name created for this new cigar brand by Davies Hall, puns on the name of Tom Assheton, the creator of the venture, using the Tomahawk symbol on the O to bring a smoke-related twist. Davies Hall’s Robin Hall explains that the brief was to find a marketing strategy to sell cigars to a younger market. Explains Hall: ‘Cigars are quite sexy in the United States, but they have a much more fuddy-duddy image here in the UK.’ Assheton aims to sell the UK cigar brand to an under-45 market.

Red Nose Day is once again approaching, and this year’s noses are now on sale in plenty of time for the charity comedy spectacular on 12 March. Official Red Nose stockist Sainsbury’s has introduced a special seasonal logo, created by FAB Design Consultants, to be applied to a range of Red Nose-endorsed goods. A number of own-brand Sainsbury’s products will be supporting the event.
