LFH distils new look for Lithuanian vodka

LFH has redesigned the packaging for Lithuanian Vodka’s full range of drinks to broaden their appeal.

The packaging design consultancy has been working with brand owner Stumbras for around 18 months, according to LFH creative director Steve Irvine, and was approached directly for this work about a year ago.

The vodka manufacturer briefed LFH to ‘revise the design to update the brand while maintaining its established heritage and broadening its appeal’, says Stumbras marketing director Algirdas Ciburys.

The new-look packaging features a simplified logo and typeface that LFH hopes will help distance the brand from more ornate and traditional spirits label designs.

‘We removed the elaborate detailing and over-reliance on gold medals, but there was a challenge in not alienating loyal customers who appreciate the brand’s traditional values,’ says Irvine.

More silver has been introduced to the packaging, as well as a series of what LFH calls ‘subtler design cues’.

The packaging goes on shelf in the Baltic region in August, with a UK roll-out planned.
