Sottsass honoured
Octogenarian industrial designer Ettore Sottsass is to receive the 1999 Sir Misha Black Memorial Medal for Distinguished Services to Design Education, awarded by the Royal College of Art.
Sottsass, who first trained as an architect, is to receive the award for his major contribution to industrial design, and in particular his work for Olivetti.
