Investigation into student death

The Health and Safety Executive is investigating the death of a mature student following an accident at Basingstoke College of Technology.

Josie Williams, a student on the pre-entry art and design course, died after the incident involving a printing press at the college.

Williams was “not using the press” and “two members of staff were present” when the accident occurred on 6 November, according to the college.

A college statement says the area has been isolated and made safe.
