Harry Pearce is staying put

Harry Pearce has denied reports that he is quitting Lippa Pearce to take on a design management role at Boots the Chemists.

‘I am not leaving Lippa Pearce in any shape or form,’ says Pearce, co-founder with Domenic Lippa of the London consultancy. But he says he is working on ‘a lot of long-term strategic projects for Boots’.

Pearce’s name has been linked with a bigger role at Boots since Pentagram partner John McConnell’s decision to step down as external design advisor (DW 8 August). The retailer is also looking to appoint a full-time in-house design head, but a spokeswoman says an appointment has not yet been confirmed.
