Premier Foods has called a sweeping review of its design services across the group, after last year’s £1.2bn acquisition of RHM resulted in an increased number of consultancies on its roster.
The group aims to moderate the number of design consultancies it uses as it integrates RHM into the business. Current design groups on the joint roster include Brandopus, Jones Knowles Ritchie, Ikon and Vibrandt.
The pitch, which has been extended to a selection of non-roster consultancies at long list stage, will be managed in-house.
Premier Foods portfolio boasts a number of brands such as Hovis, Mr Kipling, Sharwood’s, Bisto and Branston.
According to a spokesman for Premier Foods, ‘As we continue to successfully integrate RHM into our business, it is now our intention to consolidate our design consultancies.’
