Brown unveils FSA identity

Lloyd Northover Citigate has designed the identity for a new financial regulatory body. The Financial Services Authority – known in the interim as NewRO – was unveiled by Chancellor Gordon Brown last Tuesday. The consultancy won the job after a credentials pitch against six unnamed consultancies.

The FSA is a recently formed umbrella organisation bringing together eight regulatory bodies. The identity features a global symbol and a scroll device similar to those found on banknotes, which makes the marque “both international and financial”, says Lloyd Northover Citigate creative director Hugh Oxborrow.

The identity will appear on all FSA literature and promotional material.
