Mark Baldwin quits to move to S Africa

Mark Baldwin, group creative head of graphics group Quarton Baldwin, is leaving the consultancy he founded 12 years ago to emigrate to South Africa.

After leaving the Surrey group at the end of September, Baldwin plans to work freelance from Cape Town with a view to opening a Quarton Baldwin office in the Republic.

“There may well be a connection with Quarton Baldwin,” says Baldwin, who has already made contact with a number of local consultancies. “There is a lot of excitement and opportunity in South Africa,” he adds.

Baldwin’s responsibilities at Quarton Baldwin will be taken on by Peter Godkin, who joined the group as creative director in June.

Quarton Baldwin has designed a marketing brochure for Harwood & Company to promote sponsorship opportunities with Basingstoke’s Wella Bisons ice hockey team. The brochure has a cut-out cover and the strapline Break Away From The Herd.
