Big doesn’t always have to be bad

True, small business is often good business, as Michael Johnson writes (Letters, DW 2 July). The problem is that a really good business has the devil’s own job staying small. Excellence equals reputation equals more work, more people, higher turnover, more mortgages to pay and so on.

But, it doesn’t have to be as bad as Johnson says. We have grown considerably over the past 18 months without resorting to grey double-breasted suits or losing our sense of the ridiculous. Stay true to what made you good in the first place and big can be beautiful.
