Chelsea Crafts Fair takes place over two weeks this year: 13-18 October and 20-25 October. The fair is an international showcase for contemporary and traditional crafts. Design and architecture group Aukett Associates has been appointed by Boots the Chemists to design and implement five concept stores. The sites cover more than 19 000m2 of selling space. Museum of London has a new identity by Pentagram. The unveiling on 26 October will coincide with the opening of London Bodies exhibition, by Wordsearch Communications.

Pub chain Wetherspoons has adapted a design icon close to everyone’s heart – the pint glass – to cater for truly dedicated drinkers. The vessel has been expanded to hold an extra half pint. Perfect for when it’s someone else’s round.

Pauffley assembles collaborator network

Two former directors of Dialog have set up Soukias Jones, a consultancy specialising in corporate communications. – The group went live last week and is starting work on its first project, a corporate design assignment for an unnamed bank.


Delia Smith’s latest cookery series has a 25-second title sequence designed by Mike Ellis at Ortmans Young International. The graphics combine filmed food images with the celebrity chef’s hand-written cookery notes. The sequence goes live on BBC1 on Tuesday.
