Caulder Moore creates flagship perfume store

Caulder Moore has designed the interiors for the flagship store of exclusive perfumer Ormonde Jayne in London’s Sloane Square.

The consultancy was appointed in September following previous work for the perfume brand’s first shop in Old Bond Street. Caulder Moore also created packaging for the brand.

Caulder Moore creative director Ian Caulder says, ‘We created a strong signature for the brand and we wanted to keep this signature for the new store – but with additional features such as a perfume portrait table – and create more opportunities for cross-selling.’

The store, which opens this week, features a ‘moody, dark and atmospheric’ look and feel which focuses on the shop’s products, says Caulder.

The store features internally illuminated display cases with polished brass fronts, and smoked bronze mirror shelves. The sculptural back wall features a block relief design with a mirrored black lacquer surface.

Caulder says, ‘The perfume itself is built from exquisite ingredients, so we wanted to convey the idea of craftsmanship in the interiors.’
