Pearce will feature on the bill at 5×15 – a series of events where five speakers have 15 minutes each to talk on the themes of passion, obsession and adventure.

Pearce is co-founder of consultancy Lippa Pearce and joined Pentagram as partner in 2006. Known for working across a wide range of design branding disciplines, Pearce, it now emerges, has also kept a dream diary for many years.

‘The talk will be about my relationship with dreams, their effect on my work, and the ideas of coincidence and chance and how they effect creativity,’ says Pearce. Although he can’t tell us too much more, given the nature of the event.

However, dreams ‘have had an effect on my graphics work’ he says, and advises, ‘If you tune in to it, there’s a second world there with glorious stuff which can have an amazing influence on people’s creative output.’

Pearce will be joined by art critic Martin Gayford, discussing his conversations with David Hockney, Turkish novelist Elif Shafak, and travel writer Noo Saro-Wiwa,  talking about travels in her father’s native Nigeria.

The event takes place on 23 January at The Tabernacle, 34-35 Powis Square, London W11
