The livery will be used on planes flying in guests and teams for the 2012 London Olympic Games.
The design encompasses the entire plane, with the cockpit representing the beak, the fuselage and wings the main body and wings, and the tailfin as the tail. Gold paint strokes on a white background represent the feathers.
Anson, a designer and senior lecturer at Kingston University, was appointed to the project last year following a competition launched by BA in May. He received mentoring from Emin to develop the concept.
He says, ‘The Dove signifies a positive message wherever you go in the world. I also hope it makes people stop, think and look twice.’
Emin says, ‘The first time I saw Pascal’s design it made me smile. The plane is universal. Everyone will understand it.’
