Baigent creates digital designs for Pancreatic Cancer UK

Baigent Digital has created a new website for charity Pancreatic Cancer UK, which features a redesign of the charity’s purple ribbon logo.

The consultancy was appointed to the work earlier this year following a tender process, according to Baigent creative director Steven Ramsay.

Ramsay says, ‘It’s a very difficult balance – 21 people a day are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, but people don’t really know that much about it.’

He adds, ‘The site had to be a place to present personal stories and a place to promote the charity’s research and showcase findings. It also needs to be a place of support – through the discussion forums – and a place where people can get information.’

Ramsay says the site uses the Bebas font ‘which is very direct but not shouty’, and features evocative imagery, including images of lavender fields, which link into identity’s purple palette.

The site is set to launch towards the end of August.
