Royal Designers Summer School

The Royal Designers for Industry are seeking 24 young designers and 12 ‘wildcard’ non-design professionals to take part in the 2013 Royal Designers Summer School.

Summer School

The annual summer school is run by the RDIs at the Royal Society for Arts and provides an opportunity for young designers as well as those outside the industry to work alongside and learn from the RDIs.

This year’s Summer School will take place in September at Devon’s Dartington Hall, and for 2013 the ‘wildcard’ allocation has been increased from six to 12.

RDI manager Melanie Andrews says, ‘We hope to include a diverse range of professionals who could benefit from working with a designer; teachers, doctors, police, social workers, policy-makers – we are pretty open-minded.’

The Summer School will be co-directed by Dinah Casson, master of the faculty of Royal Designers for Industry, and Chris Wise RDI.
