Designival returns for 2014

Liverpool-based design festival Designival returns next month, with a line-up featuring Morag Myerscough, Pentagram partner Harry Pearce and Elmwood chairman Jonathan Sands.

The festival organisers offered a taster of Designival’s 2014 edition with last year’s Designival Mini.

The main event will take place over two days, with Liverpool’s design studios opening their doors throughout for the Open Studios event.

During the afternoons, the Camp and Furnace venue will be hosting the talks, masterclasses, portfolio surgeries and a ‘business lunch’, before an event on the final day which we’re told will be the ‘after party to end all after parties’.

The festival launched in 2008 as the Design Festival North, and in 2012 took the new Designival moniker.

This year’s event will welcome more than 500 delegates, according to organisers, who promise visitors ‘two days of inspiration, where ambitious creatives and leading figures from the industry can meet, learn and debate in a unique environment.’

Designival takes place on 17 and 18 July at Camp and Furnace, 67 Greenland St, Liverpool, Merseyside L1 0BY and other Liverpool venues. For more information and announcements visit http://www.designival.com/ or see the event’s Twitter @designival
