The show, which takes place at London’s Bardens Boudoir, features work inspired by journeys through ancient forests, experiences of spirits, relics and shamanistic rituals, rendered in the very different styles of Blanchard and Balmer.

Despite the exhibition’s theme is rather mystic theme, the content of some of the pieces is a lot more down to earth.

Blanchard explains, ‘In The Shadow is about the nature of working as a freelancer, it can often seem like a beautiful picturesque environment, but you’re never really fully in control. It pays to be aware that some things aren’t are out of your hands.’
