The New School Show
Graffik Gallery will be showcasing a crop of street artists at The New School Show, which has a distinctly international bent.
Australian artist Cherie Strong and Japanese artist Aito will be flying in to show their work for the first time in the UK.
A gallery spokesman says, ‘Really we’re giving all the new stencil artists hitting the streets a chance to make it into the galleries.’
We’re told the artists involved will be busy making new work right up until a deadline three days before the opening.
There’ll also be live painting in the Graffik Graffitti garden on the opining night by Binty Bint and Jonny Arnold.
Other artists include Tank Petrol, J.P.S, Johnman, Lemak, Chiara Rogazzo and Elmo Hood.
The first 50 guests on the opening night will receive the show poster, an image by Trust.icon, which shows an unwitting Mario being stopped and searched.
Graffik Gallery presents The New School will take place on 18 April – 2 May at Graffik Gallery, 284 Portobello Road, W10.
