Demystifying Beautiful Objects

While it’s not unusual to take pleasure in admiring beautiful objects, modern-day aesthetes that we are, it’s not often we get the chance to explore the ideas and contexts that helped make them so gorgeous.

A new exhibition opening at London’s Aram Gallery next month, Beautiful Objects, aims to lift the lid on the design process behind creating said objects, focussing on contemporary jewellery.

With works on display from designers including Simone Brewster, Caroline Broadhead, Zoe Arnold, and Eleanor Bolton, the exhibition will show all the pieces alongside explanations of what inspired their creators ‘in a drive to demystify their process’, according to the gallery.

As well as showing curios that hint at the designers’ motivations and thought-processes, the pieces will also be displayed alongside answers to questions posed by the gallery to reveal more about their creative approaches.

All works on display are by contemporary jewellers living and working in the UK, showing a combination of both existing work and pieces made specifically for this show.
