Tata Elxsi has its headquarters in Bangalore and employs around 3500 people around the world. It also has offices in France, Germany, the USA and elsewhere.

The consultancy says the new London office will open new market opportunities and broaden its talent base.

Tata Elxsi says it will employ local talent in the office, and aim to serve the UK, central Europe and Scandinavian markets. Madhukar Dev, managing director of Tata Elxsi, describes London as ‘the hub for design’.

The UK studio is located on Grosvenor Place in central London. It is launching with a four-strong design team, specialising in industrial design, graphics and branding and experience and service design.

The studio is led by former Seymourpowell design director Nick Talbot, who joined Tata Elxsi as global design head in 2011.

Talbot says, ‘This studio will help us better understand and address local consumer preferences and needs through design, and serve our customers more efficiently.’
