JKR has designed the identity for Booma, a new restaurant in Brixton, London, which pairs Indian food and craft beer.

The founders of Booma approached JKR earlier this year with a name and concept and the consultancy has since developed the identity, restaurant signage, menus, coasters, uniforms, wall art and animations.

JKR says it stayed away from indian restaurant and craft beer clichés and instead went for “a bold, striking design palette that showcased the originality of the concept and also acted as a flexible system for the brand to allow for expansion in the future.” 

The main identity is a transparent outline of an upside down beer bottle, topped with a hand painted stalk to depict the image of a chilli.
