Afterhours has created the campaign concept “It all starts with a pencil” for D&AD New Blood 2016, which celebrates the best work of graduate designers.
The consultancy is working on social media assets, printed materials, exhibition graphics and signage for New Blood, with a roll out planned for the festival, ceremony and academy.
Afterhours creative partner Kelly Bennett says: “Just as every great creative piece begins with putting pencil to paper, so a creative career is launched by winning a D&AD pencil.”
Animation studio Picturesmith is helping to develop a series of four stop-motion animations. Each one focuses on a particular call to action. “Download the briefs” and “Meet the judges” will be followed by “Entry site live” and “Deadline looming” next month.
