Lydia Thornley Design has created the identity for the Space to Earth Challenge – a project that invites school pupils to stride, swim, scoot and spin the 440km distance from the International Space Station to Earth.

The triathlon-style challenge has been set by British European Space Agency astronaut Tim Peake and is funded by the UK Space Agency. It is one of a number of educational opportunities on offer as part of Tim Peake’s Principia Space journey mission this December

Lydia Thornley says: “The core identity includes a logo that combines an orbit with the three phases of training and triathlon which can be deconstructed and reassembled in a variety of ways for event graphics and resources. Its colours are drawn from the Principia mission patch.”
