Universal Play Machine, by Mobile Studio Architects

Mobile Studio Architects has created an adaptable kinetic sculpture and learning device for BEAM camp, a summer school in New Hampshire which teaches children aged 10 to 17 skills in welding, ceramics, textiles and design.
The sculpture is designed to scale up the split-flap display technology used in airports and train stations, rotating through a sequence of images created by the campers.
It features more than 500 still images brought to life as five animations, inspired by the surrounding forest setting.
