Animated Domino’s advert, by Passion Pictures

Studio Passion Pictures has created animations for a new Domino’s Pizza advert, which sees classic paintings come to life.

The process involved shooting photos of the paintings, then converting them into 2D puppets for animation. The studio also delved into Leonardo Da Vinci’s archive, to find paintings of hands they could use to animate the Mona Lisa.

Comedians Catherine Tate and Kayvan Novak have done the voice-overs for the ad, transforming “painted figures into humorous onlookers”, says Passion Pictures.
