Consultancy Aesop has designed an interactive digital board for Scottish whisky Ballantine’s, which enables users to learn about the history of the brand.
The “digital tasting table” works by letting bottles from various editions of Ballantine’s Prestige range “unlock” chapters of the brand’s history when placed on the table.
Martin Grimer, executive creative director at Aesop, says: “The challenge was to come up with a compelling, contemporary vehicle for sharing Ballantine’s story, while…bringing the tasting experience to life.”
He adds that 360 degree projections are used in the installation space which help to “recreate the experience of visiting Scotland”.
The board was launched at the Studio Spaces in Wapping, and was active for two days. It will now be replicated worldwide.
