Frank Bright & Abel has designed new branding for fragrance company and laboratory European Flavours and Fragrances (EFF).
The consultancy opted for an “invisible” word-mark, created by a cut out window of the colourful background design or “hero image” behind it.
The concept was developed from the brand challenge “How do you visually represent and communicate the ‘invisible’?”, based on the fact that fragrances and flavours are “invisible ingredients”, says Frank Bright & Abel.
Six hero images have been used to create different coloured backgrounds, including blue orchids, pink roses, yellow lemons, red summer fruits, green herbs and brown spices. The photography was commissioned by Frank Bright & Abel and shot by photographer Carol Sharp.
The branding has been applied to the website, communications collateral, stationery, business cards and EFF’s exhibition space.
