Foyles has launched its Christmas campaign for this year which aims to show all the “many things a book can be”.

It features a stack of wrapped book-shaped presents, bearing phrases such as “It’s a time machine”, “It’s a friend” and “It’s a life changer”.

It was created by the in-house creative team, but draws on elements previously created for Foyles campaigns by advertising consultancies such as Mother and Wieden+Kennedy.

Simon Heafield, marketing manager at Foyles, says: “This year’s Christmas campaign is all about celebrating the many different things a book can mean to someone, and the way that books play varied and active roles in readers’ lives.”
