Made You Look, Made You Stare, by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios

Architectural practice Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios has produced a book which looks at museums across Europe and North America and questions what makes them emotionally engaging.

The book has been written and art directed by Clare Hughes and illustrated by Stephanie Sandall, and is complemented by an exhibition currently held at the architect’s studio until mid-march 2017.

It raises questions such as defining what a museum is – “a temple, a venue, a destination or a depot?”, and how visitors should feel when stepping through the door – “a sense of awe or of ownership?”.

Made You Look, Made You Stare: inspiration from a museum road trip is available via the architectural practice. For more information, head to the Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios site.
